The historical capital of the Incan Empire, an established world heritage site perched 11,000 feet high in southeastern Peru, a city with a population of 350,000 that welcomes a 1,000,000 tourists a year – Welcome… to Cusco! The archeological focal point of South America designated the Historical Capital of Peru.

One of the most vibrant cities in South America, Cusco has drawn in international tourists for generations; built on the foundations left by the Incans, it acts as a doorway to the famous Machu Picchu and Inca Trails making it one of the most brilliant and historic cities you could ever wish to visit. If it’s adventure you’re looking for, what could outshine travelling to a city whose foundations were laid a great many centuries ago by one of the most iconic civilizations the world has ever known. What was once the Inca’s cultural, political and religious capital, Cusco is now a part of an ever growing Peruvian economy in need of well trained English teachers.
You’ll find contemporary structures and amenities against a backdrop of innovative ancient designs that radiates historical importance. During their time the Incas built incomparable temples and palaces, as well as 10,000 miles of road, right up until the Spanish presence was felt in 1532. The current situation in Cusco, and Peru generally, is a story of prosperity with Peru harboring a great many natural resources and tourist attractions. Due to the multiethnic background of a population that includes Africans, Europeans, Asians and Amerindians; the Peruvian people have developed a unique and diverse way of expressing themselves in their music, art, literature and food.
For our TEFL students, all this translates into an experience like nothing else. You’ll find teaching jobs working with adults and professionals as well as a salary that goes a long way with Peru’s low prices. You’ll have the time and means to enjoy the sunny days and chilly nights, walking around the town, perusing some of finely made woolens while taking on board all the city has to offer.
