Learn how to teach English in Vietnam. As we move further into the twenty-first century, Vietnam is quickly emerging from it’s rocky past as an independent player on the global scene. Described as a “nation of determined optimists,” Vietnam is rich in history and offers a life full of color, excitement and adventure to all who look for it.
Vietnam is a country bursting with life, from the villages nestled in rolling green hills to the fast paced cities. Take Hoi An, for example. If you learn to teach English here, you’ll never be without something to do. Spend your free time shopping amongst some of Vietnam’s finest boutiques. Or learn to teach English in Hanoi, the country’s capitol where you’ll doge a plethora of motorbikes on your way to and from class. To really get a feel for the cultural, spiritual and historical aspect of Vietnam, stay in the old imperial capitol, Hue. Amongst the numerous temples, tombs and pagodas that are housed in the city, you’ll also find many opportunities to partake in the country’s numerous festivals. For taste of Vietnam’s tumultuous history, make sure to visit one of the many mausoleums, museums and monuments that are scattered throughout the country. If life in the fast lane is not for you, getting your TEFL certificate in the laid back fishing villages along the Mekong Delta or stroll the pristine beaches in your time in between classes. Take a day trip to one of the surrounding islands and relax in the sun after a day of snorkeling and exploring. Along with thriving cities, Vietnam has gorgeous lagoons and stunning caves just waiting to be explored.
During the past decade, the economic growth in Vietnam has been among the highest in the world, yet the cost of living is still relatively low. That, coupled with the fact that Vietnam is one of the world’s most populated countries, makes it an ideal location to learn how to teach English. The Vietnamese not only know the value of learning English, but they also have a deep respect for teachers, and teaching English is a highly valued profession. If you’re looking for a change of lifestyle and an exciting place to live, look no further than Vietnam.
