About Quito

San Francisco de Quito, more commonly referred to as Quito is the capital of Ecuador, the Spanish word for  “Equator”, as it is so close to zero latitude. There is a monument and museum in the general area of the equator known as “la mitad del mundo” or “the middle of the world”. We encourage TEFL students to check out these wonderful culture sites in their area.
